It’s the surest, safest means of brightening enamel, minimizing discoloration, and delivering a smile guaranteed to get noticed.
Q. How does it work?
A. The process requires a whitening gel and some processes use a special light.
Q. Is it safe?
A. Clinical research has shown that using a professional whitening gel and/or a light, under a dentist’s supervision, is safe for both teeth and gums.
Q. How long does it take?
A. Results depend on the method. Special light whitening takes a little over an hour. With take home gel tray systems, maximum results generally occur when the process is continued over 10-14 days or evenings.
Q. Will it really work?
A. Teeth will ALWAYS be lighter than before. Some patients may choose to do a periodic touch-up, depending on the process.
Q. How does what you provide compare with over-the-counter products?
A. Simply, we provide better results in a shorter amount of time. Over-the-counter products, such as Crest White strips, work fine and are regulated which cannot be said about many of the other over-counter products. The strips are cumbersome to use and usually only whiten the front 6 teeth. As for whitening toothpastes and rinses, they do not do very much, and any toothpaste option will do essentially the same thing.
Whitening done at the dentist’s office is much more controlled, is easier to use, and produces better results. And because you are under the care of the doctor, it is safer.
