Dr. Dimitrios Vareldzis, or Dr. "V" as some people call him, had an interesting childhood. He grew up in the Middle East, but his parents were Greek. He went to high school in England and then flew all the way to the University of Portland to earn his undergraduate degree. He went on to graduate from the prestigious Marquette University School of Dentistry, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.

After graduation, Dr. Vareldzis practiced dentistry in the Portland area. Yet his love for learning kept him in school, studying postdoctoral work in modern, advanced dentistry. This includes taking courses at the OBI Foundation for Bioesthetic Dentistry and the Dawson Academy.

Because of this, Dr. Vareldzis is able to offer state-of-the-art techniques such as laser dentistry, CEREC® same-day crowns, dental implants, and Invisalign® aligners.

Despite all of these accomplishments, Dr. Vareldzis is most known for his kindness and personal attention. Unlike some dental offices, Dr. V takes the time to get to know you and learn about your concerns, goals, and plans for continued dental health. His biggest reward? Seeing how happy his patients are after the work is complete.

After working in Portland for 23 years, he fell in love with the Rogue Valley and decided to move here. He opened Hillcrest Family Dentistry in East Medford back in 2012. Currently, he is a member of the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the International College of Oral Implantology, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Vareldzis is proud of his Greek-American heritage and credits it with keeping him focused on family and excellent, personal care. He is married to his wife, Debbie, who is also the office's business manager.
